Enthrall Him by Vanessa Fewings (Book Review)

One last book to round out 2020. This makes 59 books I’ve managed to read this year (according to my Goodreads Challenge).

My Review:

Book 3 of Enthrall Sessions is a perfect continuation of the series. The books must be read in order so that the reader understands the psychology behind the characters.

Mia Lauren has reached the point in her training where she will be returned to her master and boyfriend, Richard. But Richard, intent on making a public display of his possessiveness, holds an auction wherein he will be the highest bidder for Mia. Something goes wrong and a rival of Cameron’s wins Mia who is then whisked away into the night by Cameron and Richard. This book picks up the action at this point.

Cameron and Mia flee to London, leaving Richard to clean up the mess with Lance Merrill who is determined to collect his winnings, namely Mia. Lance has means and motive and thwarts every move of the runaways. Accompanied by Shay, an ex-military right hand man, Mia and Cameron move around London quite a bit to shake off Lance’s people. Eventually, they stay at Richard’s London home where Mia begins to learn more about her boyfriend.

There are some wonderful scenes where Cameron lets down his guard and spends some playful, loving time with Mia. This makes her heart soar. But Richard will soon arrive in London and Mia’s time with Cameron will soon come to an end. We can see the cracks in Cameron’s armor begin to grow. He seeks out a well-known psychologist to help him through this pain of losing Mia. Mia begins to understand that Cameron is harboring a deep secret that causes him to need pain and punishment. It is Mia, and the fact that she belongs to another, that is his punishment.

Enthrall Him has plenty of action, both physical and mental, and in the end we hear those three words we all long to hear – I Love You. But who says them? And to whom?

I loved this story! This series is much better than the Fifty Shades of Grey. The sex scenes are well placed and not just thrown in for effect. They serve a purpose. The action is riveting. Animal lovers will fall in love with Winston the bulldog who reminds us that sometimes soulful eyes and a lick to the hand are enough to make you fall in love. A well-rounded series that will keep the reader Enthralled.

This reader is looking forward to the remaining books of the series (there are eight in total).
